Fans And Leopard Really transitioning for Fall. I’ve been all about that dark and neutral look for a bit. Especially with my lip colors. Can’t seem to get enough of those deep burgundy, brownish-reds. I even got a nail polish in that color. Looking forward to the fashion aspect of the season but not so much the change in weather. Boohoo! Speaking of which, I’m quite about to do something that Lord help me, is just eeek! It was one of those screw it or shall I say, YOLO moments and I’m nervous as heck while writing this. It probably doesn’t help typing it on here but it does help me blow off some steam. I’ll share what it is in due time. I feel it deserves a special post whether things go well or not. It’s just one of those life experiences that despite the outcome, there’s always a lesson learned. So wish me good luck even though I’m talking in circles, hehe! As for the outfit, fans and leopards prints mixed together are very interesting. I love how both color palettes play off each other. It tickles your eyes (good luck imagining that) and I ended up really liking how the combo turned out. Gosh, my facial expressions in these photos though, I couldn’t stop laughing. That’s why I love sunglasses, they control your facial expression and leave everything seamless… Seamlessly cool. Hope you enjoy the rest of your week and I’ll talk to you in a bit! Spiked Stars Finally, a crop top I can call my own… I am quite extremely elated, over joyed, excited and happy. I’ve been looking for the purr-fect basic black crop top and I must say, it wasn’t easy. Another thing was finding a way to style it so it didn’t look too vava-voom or too downplayed. And of course, what other than to wear it with these yummy, ankara trousers? Let’s just say I’ll be wearing this till it dies. Now, I’d really like to collect them in all colors, short/long sleeve. I’m beyond ecstatic. My beautiful cuffed black and gold beaded bracelet is by… Fulfill Jewelry Black bracelet by Fulfill Jewelry Always, Miss LAJA
Transitions I’m still holding on to summer. In my dictionary (and with the ridiculously hot weather lately), I’m pretty much not ready for fall. Till the weather proves otherwise, I will continue to hold on to my dreams of a longer summer and of course, bright colors. Not that fall’s gonna change it but who knows? Happy New Month, my loves! The year’s really zipping by fast. Make it count! Oh, and is it obvious I love orange and royal blue? I should have named this post “Hues of Orange Blues” or something… Huh, that sounds quite nice thinking about it. Oh well… Happy Hump day! Bracelet: Fulfill Jewelry Always, Miss LAJA
Red Diamonds Red, Gold, Black and Ankara? What’s not to love? This red ankara ensemble was perfect for the hot, Florida weather and I paired it along with my current favorite set from Fulfill Jewelry. Honestly, I’ve missed that place like crazy but it’s back-to-school time. I’m actually excited! Are you? Jewelry: Fulfill Jewelry Always, Miss LAJA
BlackOut All black. Unusual for me especially during summer but I brightened it up with these red flats and this gorgeous violet necklace and bracelet and a statement purse. As minimalist as I can go for now… Challenge accepted. And don’t forget to like my contest photo here on Facebook. Voting ends on the 18th if this month! Galaxy Yes, yes, this is an ankara dress. I’ve had both the dress and shoes for a while and together, BOOM. This happened. This dress reminds me of a galaxy with stars and planets and asteroids and all that. I love how this Fulfill Jewelry bracelet adds a nice touch of color to the whole outfit… And it’s a beautiful shade of violet too! 🙂 PS, Ahh! My 100th post! I’m so grateful for how far I’ve come and everyone that has come with me. 99 posts ago, I can honestly tell you I had the slightest idea of what I was doing. Reminiscing, check out my first few posts on Miss LAJA here, here and here. Thank you and cheers to more growth! Earrings/Bracelet: Fulfill Jewelry Yayy! For the 100th Post! Always, Miss LAJA
Black, Pink and Gold I wore this jumpsuit to my sister’s graduation (YAY!) I matched it with pink accessories from Fulfill Jewelry (seriously you guys should check them out). This six layered necklace is usually worn with traditional attire but voila! I present to you a way to match it with English wear. I find that carrying stylish pouches is convenient for events like this. It fits little items like your phone and lipstick and you could hold it or throw it into your purse. Oh, and new braids… Info over here. Jewelry Set and Pouch: Fulfill Jewelry Always, Miss LAJA
Purple Swag Happy New Month everyone! December’s finally here and I couldn’t be anymore happier and grateful! Finals are around the corner (blehh) but so are the holidays so… Anyways, I got see my parents for the short holidays and that’s always nice! And btw, my bag? It’s actually made out of jeans trousers! Talk about going green! I got it from an Arts market a while back. As for the jacket, it’s actually for guys and it’s in a large so it’s extra snuggy and warm and purple and I lovvve it! Miss LAJA & Mummy LAJA Always, Miss LAJA
Black With A Touch Of Ankara So I realized I’ve picked a habit of always talking about the weather in my outfit posts but I find that the weather really does have an effect on my mood. When it’s sunny, I feel happy and motivated to work but when it’s gloomy and dull, all I want to do is sleep. I absolutely dislike rain and cold so I won’t even go there… Speaking of cold, it was FREEZING (two degrees Celsius) and windy but sunny. That’s a rather horrible combination and I might be smiling in these pictures but it was COLD. The struggle was real… Wow I just spoke on weather once again lol. Sorry guys! For the outfit, I’m wearing another ankara skirt (if it’s not obvious already, I’m in love with ankara clothing soooo) and gloves were an absolute necessity! Guyyyyss, it’s Thanksgiving coming up! I’m soo pumped and I’m so thankful for a lot of things. Life, health, family, happiness and the list goes on. Hope you guys have a great break! And I’m sure I’m not the only one excited for Black Friday shopping! BRING IT ON! Always, Miss LAJA
My Yellow Ankara Jacket This ankara jacket is the sibling to my yellow ankara skirt! And no it wasn’t planned. It just happened 🙂 I absolutely adore this jacket’s intricately trimmed edges. Its just so edgy and unique! We had ‘family’ pictures at my church today for Christmas postcards and they handed out Christmas hats! Christmas is coming and I’m so excited cause it means the school session is coming to an end and I finally get to back home and see my family and friends! Yay! But till then, I’ll have to hold on plus there’s Thanksgiving! As they say quitters never win and winners never quit! 😉 Do you like my swarovski crystal earrings? They’re by Fulfill Jewelry!
