Sharing this super easy look inspired by my buba and head wrap. When experimenting with makeup, I’ve found that for me, less is more. Tried to re-invent the iro and buba look by pairing the buba blouse with high waisted black pants instead of the wrapper. Been having fun painting my face and simply experimenting with different lighting/editing techniques. Thoughts?
So, Mummy LAJA & I decided to do a shoot together because obviously 🙂 The looks were inspired by these two Fulfill Jewelry sets. One warm and the other cool but both making a statement. I enjoyed playing with the contrast in colours and backgrounds. This has to be one of my favorite shoot with Mummy LAJA so far. <3

Two of my favorite colours in one George material. George is a cotton African textile originating from Nigeria. It is adorned with bright colours and especially gold accents because it is usually worn by royalty. The fabric signifies wealth, luxury and status. The material is commonly worn for special occasions like weddings and church events.
I got this vintage piece from Grandma LAJA and style Mummy LAJA in the lovely number. It’s definitely a different look but what can I say, Mummy LAJA’s so fly <3 I completed the look with this dramatic piece from Fulfill Jewelry to amplify the aesthetic. Loud and proud, baby! Have a lovely weekend and I’ll talk to you in a bit! xx

Here’s another gele look since I haven’t done one in a while. I plan on doing a lot of the holidays as I’m in the process of coveting my mum’s wardrobe *cheese* This isn’t a gele entirely but I wanted to head piece and jewelry to be the focus of the look. What do you think?
A moment of silence for the gorgeousness of this set! Ahnahn, talk about making a statement! Fulfill Jewelry never fails to leave me speechless each and every time plus they’re handmade. So you can imagine why this is a favorite brand of mine. For me, it’s quality over quantity always.
If you’re home on the holidays, how do you feel? Splendid isn’t it? One of my girlfriends is graduating this week (yeah, it’s a winter graduation). After 4 years of fun/suffering I’m like yesss girl, get it! Hope you’re all settling back home well. Jet lag has been my bestie but other than that. I’m good. Enjoy and I’ll talk to you in a bit!

Disclaimer: I don’t use foundations or concealers neither do I contour my face so I won’t be listing those types of products. I only use the Pond’s Oil Control Talcto reduce shine and it has zero coverage. I also don’t fill in my brows. So what you’re seeing here (and in all my previous makeup looks) is my bare skin/brows. I’ll keep you all updated with time 🙂

Another look in my gele series. The makeup was inspired by my gele (hair tie) and the jewelry just fell in place. If you’re adventurous when it comes to colors (or just want some ideas on mixing and matching), I hope this helps!
